It is the philosophy of the DHS Math Department that:

• Students should be placed in an appropriate course that challenges them.

• Students must study and complete assignments outside of class to master new material.

• Students should become proficient with technology without becoming dependent upon it.

• Successful completion of prerequisite material is necessary before moving on to the next level.
